EVENTS

EXPLOSIVES AND NARCOTICS DETECTION - 100 Points
There will be aids planted in vehicles and buildings. Teams will be graded on finding the aids, handler’s ability to read the alert, and how well the team works together. Ties will be broken by a sniff off, arranged by the Judges.

Explosive Odors - TNT, Smokeless Powder, C-4, Detonation Cord,, Water Gel, Nitro, Ammonia Dynamite (No pseudo odors will be used)

Narcotic Odors - Marijuana, Meth, Cocaine, Heroin (No pseudo narcotics willbe used)


TACTICAL OBEDIENCE - To be announced

Obedience will be done off- lead with no chains dangling, or any other control device. The obedience routine will consist of left turns, right turns, turn into your dog, about turn, fast heel, slow heel, down your dog on the move, recall to heel, hand signals from approximately 20 yards and tactical obedience with gunfire.

You will be judged for the following:

WIDE ATTENTION  HAND SIGNALS
CROWDING ANTICIPATION MULTIPLE COMMANDS
LAGGING   SITS   HANDLER ERROR
FORGING DOWNS RECALLS
STAYS

AGILITY - To be announced

BUILDING SEARCH - To be announced

You will search a building that has numerous rooms and hiding spots throughout. Tactics, the dog’s ability to locate the hidden suspect, and the handler’s ability to read the alert, and how the handler and dog function as a team will be graded. This is a timed event. This is closed to the public and only judges, agitators, and K-9 teams will be permitted.

AREA SEARCH - To be announced

The team will search the area as he or she would do on a real search. Tactics, the dog’s ability to locate the hidden suspect, and the handler’s ability to read the alert, and how the handler and dog function as a team will be graded. This is a timed event and the team will be graded accordingly. This will be an isolated area and only the judges, agitators, and K-9 team will be permitted.

HANDLER PROTECTION - To be announced

To be announced at the Trial

AWARDS:
Top Dog:   This award will go to the top overall team (excluding narcotics or explosives) 1st , 2nd and 3rd places.
Top Agency: This award will go to the highest point total, averaged out between the number of teams entered. There must be at least two teams entered per department to be eligible for this award. 1st, 2nd and 3rd places.
Explosives: 1st, 2nd, 3rd place awards
Narcotics: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th place awards
Obedience: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th place awards
Agility: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th place awards
Building Search: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th place awards
Area Search: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th place awards
Handler Protection: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th 5th place awards
