Cost: There is a $40 yearly membership fee for CNCA and a one-time $35 Certification Fee. If you are already a member of CNCA, this class will be no charge to you.

CNCA is recognized by the California Commission for Police Officer Standards and Training as an organization dedicated solely toward enhancing the professionalism and training of narcotic canine handlers. CNCA provides its membership with an information hotline to assist handlers with case law issues for court cases. They also provide expert narcotic canine trainers a witnesses to assist in the successful prosecution of cases. They provide an annual conference and four training days per year. These training days encompass problem solving of your narcotic or explosive canines as well as a certification. For further information go to www.CNCA.com

Helicopter Deployment - Tactical boarding and deployment from a helicopter safely. Proper securing of equipment and police service dog.

Tactical Shooting - Advanced techniques of shooting with and around your dog. Acclamation of gun fire from one to multiple cover officers and handler. Shooting from cover and engaging targets while moving with your police service dog.

Tactical Building Searches with SWAT - Introduction to movements with SWAT team and being an intracle part of the stick. Clearing the building from room to room with your police service dog from behind a shield. SWAT team members moving past and around your dog while he is away from the handler. To include rapid and slow/methodical clearing and hostage distract.
